Install Windows With Pen Drive or Flash Drive If DVD or CD Drive Is Not Working



We Are Back with useful tricks about how to make a bootable pen drive with DOS command Prompt. Install windows 7 With bootable Pendrive. If Your Computer DVD Drive Or CD Drive Is Not Working Then You Can Able To Install Windows 7 With The Help Of Pen Drive.



Requirements:  IF You have DVD of Window 7)
how to make a bootable pendrive for window 7

  • USB Key about 4GB
  • Bootable DVD Disk of Window 7 or window 7 image (.iso) in your Computer

Step 1: Install Windows 7 Using Pen Drive

Requirements:


  • Demon Tool Lite (If Your DVD Drive Is Not Working)
  • A Pen Drive About 4GB
  • Insert USB Pen Drive
  • Open Command Prompt As Administrator



  • First type diskpart and hit enter to see the below message.
  • Next type list disk command and note down the Disk number (ex: disk 1)   of your USB flash drive.
  • In the below screenshot image disk 0 is hard disk and disk 1 is flash Drive
  • Select Flash Drive i.e select disk 1.
  • All Command In Following Screen Shot.


So below are the commands you need to type and execute
one by one:

SELECT DISK 1
CLEAN
CREATE PARTITION PRIMARY
SELECT PARTITION
ACTIVE
FORMAT FS=NTFS QUICK
(The Format process will may take few minutes)

ASSIGN
EXIT

Minimize The Command Prompt.

Next insert your Windows 7 or Vista DVD Disk into the Optical drive

                               Or

If DVD Drive Is Not Working Then Use Demon Tool Lite And Load The Windows 7 Image file (.iso) in Demon Tools Lite.




Now,
Check the drive letter of the DVD drive.




Now Open Another Command Prompt As Administrator And Type Followings:

h:  and hit enter. Where “h” is your DVD drive letter.
cd boot and hit enter .

Type in command prompt which is given below to update the Pen drive with BOOTMGR compatible code.




bootsect.exe /nt60 j:
Where j: is Your Pen Drive Letter

Now Perform Some Following Steps After Above Steps:

  1. Now Copy All The Files Of DVD To Your USB Pen Drive.
  2. Reboot  Your Computer System
  3. Choose USB Hard Disk To Boot Using BIOS Setup.
